The requested URL /wordpress/wp-admin/lazy-k-gallery/lazy-k-gallery-admin.php was not found on this server.

I am getting the above message after uploading k-gallery. I can k=gallery menu tab but once I select I get above message. No doubt to anyone with the slightest bit of html, css code this is the dumbest question. Well I am not that person. I am trying to add a portfolio page to my wordpress blog to attract new business.

Hopefully I have given you enough info. Running Macbook 10.4.8 with WP 2.1 all other non standardplug-ins deleted.

I am trying to get a page of thumbnails which on selection pops up and fills whole screen.

any help much appreciated.

Can anyone explain how to address fodlers for thumbnails and larger images. Think I have been putting them into the correct folder in worpress but as yet no joy. I know this sounds a very simple taks but I have no html, css. code backgournd whatsoever. I am using this as a learning exercise. Do I need to create thumbnails at the size I need them (smaller) or does the plugin do that for me. Can I leave normal size images in the thumbnail folder is what I mean.

I would like to run thickbox eventually once have the simple bits done. Do i need to amend any cod eto do this or just intsall the plugin and activate as normal in the admin panel.

Sorry it' s basic, but I haven‘t a clue what I am doing. Hey, it's fun though.

p.s. Currently devleoping site on lcoal machine using MAMP and wordpress 2.1. Using K2 theme.[/img]

Something is not installed properly. It should create all the thumbnails, etc for you. All you should need to do is copy the files into your plugins directory and activate. Well, you do have to visit the options page to set your gallery directory, but your error message doesn't indicate that that is the problem.

Let's make sure you've put the files where they belong. In your wp-content/plugins folder you should have at least the following:

lazy-k-gallery.php (file)
lazy-k-gallery (folder)

Within the folder above should be 4 php files, a css and a js file.

Is that what you have?

Thanks,

I have supplied you with a link which has some grabs of the folder in question.

Eventually I want to run the page with something like thickbox. The page is intended a portfolio/showcase to show potential clients my design for print work.

here are the links.

Any info you can supply is much appreciated.

Ok, your files seem to be in the right place. Have you verified that the gallery path (shown in the error in your 3rd screenshot) exists?

Can you send me a screen shot of what your lazy-k-gallery options page look like? That first setting, for the gallery path, has some information by it as to whether the directory is valid, and at the bottom there are some other paths, etc. for troubleshooting.

Thanks,

As I said I am an absolute beginner, cutting and pasting code is about my limit. Not a code head.

So here are the links for the new grabs

http://www.divshare.com/download/151302-82f

http://www.divshare.com/download/151303-407

http://www.divshare.com/download/151304-22c

I need to know where I save the images and how to label the folder correctly. Then I guess I need to point Lazy-K at it and hopefully we'ere done.

The grabs will give you some more info. I would like to use ThicBok to display the images eventually. Any pointer much appreciated.

Darren-

Maybe I'm missing something, but I don't see where your directory for the images is located. You should have a directory called "lazy-k-gallery" under the wordpress folder, and that's where the images should be. In your second screen shot, I see that you've chosen "lazy-k-gallery" as your gallery folder, but there's an error shown that it doesn't exist. In the first screen shot (your folder list) I don't see the gallery folder (i.e. where the pictures go).

I looks (at first glance) like the software is installed properly, so try putting the gallery folder there and let me know how that goes.

Thanks,

I now have a thumbnail, but is tiny, tiny! Can I get then a little bigger??? When I click on the thumb it currently opens the image in another window. Hopefully I will install thickbox once things are working basically.

Is there any way I can get the gallery to appear on my portfolio page see the tab menu along the edge of the image.
Don' really want a blog entry more of a list, titles and thumnails

thanks once again.

In your first screen shot, it looks like you're just viewing the root of the gallery. Are there no folders in the root, just pictures? I don't entirely understand what you're explaining about what happens when you click on the thumbnails.

In your second screen shot, you specify the width of the thumbnails as 200, but in the CSS you modified that "max-width" attribute to be 100px. For starters you should fix that.

You should probably also visited the cache manager and rebuild all your thumbnails so we can be sure they are the proper size (based on the settings you chose).

Let me know how that goes and we'll see where to go from there. Have you made any other modifications to the K2 theme other than what I suggested?

Thanks,
